Unilever Laraba’s World TV Drama series reflects the evolving role of women in society

Each episode of Sunlight’s Laraba’s World TV drama series addresses issues affecting today’s woman. Issues such as, owning your business, female education,  assisting your husband financially and also being there for your friends when they are in need.For instance, in episode 10 Ladidi’s husband Idris, loses his Keke to the government over payment issues. He needs to raise money to get it released. Ladidi becomes worried and confides in Laraba. The dependable Laraba soon discovers that Ladidi has a strong business potential in her homemade Zobo beverage. Ladidi begins to produce and sell the Zobo and gives some of the proceeds to Idris to get his Keke released and all is well again. Laraba, a true Sunlight woman, helped Ladidi discover her calling and put it to good use in assisting her husband during his financial crisis. Similarly, Hadiza also supports her husband financially from the proceeds of Abubakar Events Centre.This week, Laraba receives a surprise visitor and the girl’s condition leaves her depressed. Will her friends, whom she had helped in one way or the other, be able to restore her to her normal cheerful state?
